Hello everybody, welcome to Blogmas day 17! So it is officially one week until Christmas Eve….. whaaaat?! That is crazy. I can’t really believe how fast December has gone!

If you’re one of these people who are super duper busy, and haven’t quite had time to do your Christmas shopping, or you just can not bare the thought of braving the shops on a weekend, then don’t you worry. I’ve put together a nice little last minute gift guide kinda thing. Christmas is saved!

  • Peppermint lip/body scrub

I saw this on Pinterest, and had to try it out! So all you need is a jar, some cute ribbon, some granulated sugar, red food colouring, peppermint essence and your choice of oil (It can be almond, olive literally any oil.). Whack your sugar into a bowl (I would recommend filling the jar with 3/4 of sugar, so you know roughly how much you’ll need), and the oil of choice, and peppermint essence and mix together. You can test out the consistency and if you want more sugar, then throw some more in! So once you’ve got a bowl of basic sugar scrub, you can then split the mixture into two bowls. Add red food colouring to one, and leave the other one plain. Then layer up the scrub in the jar, using red then white and so on. It smells amazing, it feels amazing and it is so cheap to make! All I had to purchase was peppermint essence, because I had everything else in my kitchen cupboard. It’s the perfect gift for a girly friend, or to pop into a pamper hamper (there it is again).

  • Salt Dough Pawprint.

If you have a friend/relative who has a pet (or a child), and loves it to the ends of the earth, then this is the perfect gift. I found the recipe for this here so if you want it in more depth, then definitely check it out. All you need for this, is flour, salt, water, something to poke a hole in the dough, and a cookie cutter (or a glass), a ribbon, and acrylic paint if you fancy making it look pretty. So, in the short of it, you mix all ingredients together and roll the dough out. Use the cookie cutter (or glass) to cut out a circle, then carefully take your dogs paw and place it in the middle. Poke a hole in the top, so you can hang it up, whack it in the oven and bish bash bosh. You have a super cute ornament. You can do the exact same but with a baby’s footprint/handprint, but good luck taking a baby from someone…par print

  • A hot-chocolate set

This is an ideal last-minute gift, because it is perfect for the winter weather! All you need is a mug, hot chocolate powder, marshmallows, candy cane and a ribbon. Now there are so many ways you can go about this, such as layering them in a mason jar, but I’m going to stick with the mug. So, pick yourself up a cute mug, you can find one here from my Secret Santa ideas (it’s seriously cute).  Now with this, I would recommend buying the individual hot chocolate sachets, just so it’s mess free. Pop the sachet into the mug, now grab some marshmallows and pop them into some cellophane, wrap them up and finish with a little bow. Put them into the mug too. Stick a candy cane in there, and you’re done! You can finish it off with a little ribbon, and name tag around the handle.  But that’s how quick and easy this last-minute gift is. You could develop this by adding some fluffy socks, a face mask and some chocolate too! The perfect winter treat.

If you use any of these ideas, let me know how they go and tweet me a picture over at: @kelsey_badley
