I hope you are all enjoying Autumn so far, the pretty colours, crunchy leaves, Pumpkin Spice Latte and lets not forget… knitted jumpers and cosy clothes! There are so many autumnal things that I would love to do, and this year I’m really going to push myself to get out and enjoy the Autumn season whilst it’s still here.
I’ve got a little list of things that I want to do in the Autumn season, like an Autumn bucket list!
- Pumpkin picking!
I have never, ever, in my whole life been to a real life pumpkin patch and picked a pumpkin. I think I’ve only ever been to the local supermarket and picked one from the vegetable section, which isn’t quite the same experience… Whilst we are on the topic of pumpkins, I would also love to carve one! I can’t really remember carving pumpkins as a child, that may be down to bad memory or it may just be down to carving them once or twice as I grew up. But this year, I’m going to pick my own pumpkin and I’m going to carve it!
2. Autumn Walks!
There is nothing better than putting on your favourite cosy jacket, some old wellington boots and going for a walk in the woods on a crisp afternoon. The best part about autumn walks, is that you can go with a few of your favourite people, or you can go on your own. You can take beautiful photos, or you can just take in all of the autumn feels. There are no rules.
3. Seasonal Baking
So, I’m not too great at baking but I just love doing it and at the end (if all goes to plan) you get to eat whatever you’ve made. Delish! Im going to make sure that I bake some super cosy, autumnal treats, whether it be cookies or cupcakes! A great idea for autumnal baking, is using Pumpkin, I’ve found that if you use the ‘pumpkin guts’ from the one that you carve, then it leaves a lot less waste and you get some festive treats at the end of it. Its a win/win situation to be honest, everybody’s happy.
I have the biggest obsession with candles, ever. I purchased my first Christmas candle from The Card Factory, and it’s called ‘Christmas Eve’. Which is actually a bit irrelevant considering this is an autumn post… However, today I picked up the most beautiful candle I have ever seen! It has the scent ‘Saffron Spice’ making it smell so autumnal, and its such a beautiful candle to look at. I purchased the candle from a stall at my university, and I’m pretty sure its a small company called ‘Sublime Candles’.
I hope you all have lots of autumnal feels!
